These programs include peer education programs, community mobilization, motivational interviewing, health warnings on tobacco products, marketing restrictions, regular follow up of the patients and banning smoking in public places.
Tobacco Cessation Clinic in Al Azhar dental college is run in collaboration between Department of Public Health and the Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology. Tobacco cessation clinic is set on the entrance of the college next to the department of Oral Medicine and Radiology for easy access to patients. Interns from Department of Public Health Dentistry are posted in the clinic.
