Dr. Renu Ann Mathew

Dr Renu Ann Mathew, Professor, Department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry is a very dedicated and fierce leader, who joined in the year 2013 and has been the guiding light since then. She has been taking the responsibility of the entire department since 2017. She is an excellent multitasker who can handle difficult situations as well as lighten up the pressure build ups with her wittiness. Along with her 9 years of academic experience and patient care in this institution, she also works as a consultant Pediatric Dentist in various hospitals and clinics. She has authored a book titled-Esthetics in Pediatric Dentistry and has also contributed a chapter-Pediatric Dentistry in the book titled- MCQ’S in clinical dentistry 2021 along with many National publications.

She is also a part of various committees at the Institutional level such as college curriculum committee, research committee, IQAC and mentor mentee. She has been doing her duties as external examiner and university exam invigilator for many years under KUHS. Under her able support and guidance, the department, together with the institution could become a part of Special Olympics Bharat-Special Smiles Screening programme and proudly contribute in achieving the Guinness Book Of World Records held on 7th April 2022. Her quest for knowledge is never ending and thus she is doing Diploma in Learning Disabilities and a course in ACLP (Advanced Certified Lactation Professional India). Her interest lies in special case dentistry, hospital based treatments under general anesthesia and photography. She continues to be a constant source of inspiration for the students ,patients as well as her colleagues
