Dr Namitha J has done her under graduation from Government dental college Trivandrum and Post Graduation from V S dental college and Hospital Bangalore. She has many National and International Scientific publications to her credit.Her fields of interest include Epidemiology, Early Diagnosis and Management of Oral Cancer and Pre cancers and Advanced imaging modalities of maxillofacial region.
She was working in Dayananda Sagar college of Dental sciences since 2011 under various cadres and presently working in Al Azhar dental college as Professor since 2021.She has been a PG teacher and Guide under Rajiv Gandhi University of Health sciences since 2016 and has guided PG students on Research projects and Library dissertations based on early detection and prevention of Oral cancer.
She is a certified ‘Tobacco cessation Expert awarded by Gujarat University in September 2022.She has undergone “Hands on course at Preconference workshop on ‘Early detection and prevention on Oral cancer’ at ‘6th World Congress of International academy of Oral Oncology’ in May,2017.She has presented a scientific paper titled ’Differentiation between benign and metastatic lymph nodes using ultrasound” at 12th Asian Congress of Oral Medicine and Radiology during 6th to 9th September 2018 held at Mumbai.
She was the Treasurer of Organizing committee of the Indian Academy of Oral Medicine and Radiology (IAOMR) National Undergraduate Convention 2017 held at Dayananda Sagar campus in April 2017.She was the Cordinator of Organizing committee of comprehensive Continuing Dental Education Program and Hands on Workshop on Dental Implants on January 2018 and worked as Cordinator of Reception committee of ‘A comprehensive Laser workshop’ held on April 2018 held at DSCDS.
