Dr. Jayesh J Unnithan is a seasoned academician, knowledge enthusiast and a passionate clinician with over 14 years of teaching and clinical experience. He has authored numerous articles in both national and international specialty journals. His specific areas of interest are advanced imaging in maxillofacial radiology, cone beam computed tomography, early oral cancer detection and its effective management, the diagnosis & management of autoimmune diseases and TMJ disorders, forensic odontology & unique effectual teaching/training methodologies with clinical application.

During his Post graduation, he has won several accolades, including the ‘Best paper’ and ‘best poster’ awards, in various national conferences. He completed the ‘Training of trainers (ToT) program on ‘Education technology for Dental Science Faculty’ (Kerala University of Health Sciences) in 2022. He has received extensive training in Conebeam CT imaging from NITTE University, Mangalore and is also a trained Tobacco Cessation expert (‘ICanCaRe’, Gujarat University). He has donned the roles of a resource faculty, invited speaker, and member of the judging panel in various webinars and conferences. He is a Life Member of the ‘Indian Academy of Oral Medicine and Radiology’ and the ‘Association of Stomatologists and Maxillofacial Imageologists of Kerala’.
