Dr.Aparna.M, BDS,MDS is currently working as Associate Professor in the Department of Oral Medicine & Radiology, Al Azhar Dental College, Kerala. She acquired Bachelor’s Degree from AJ Institute of Dental Sciences, Rajiv Gandhi University, Karnataka in 2009 and Master’s in Oral medicine and Radiology from Yenepoya University, Karnataka in 2014. She secured certificate on CBCT from Manipal institute of Dental Sciences in 2023. Her research paper on ‘Comparison of efficacy of phosphor plate and film based panoramic radiographs in replicating anatomical structures of orofacial region – a radiographic study’ secured best scientific paper award in 25th National Conference of Indian Academy of Oral Medicine and Radiology held at Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India, on October, 2013. As an academician she has got an experience of more than 7 years and has worked in various colleges such as KMCT Dental College, Kozhikode Government Dental College & PSM College of Dental Science and Research. She is an active member of dentistry related organizations such as Indian Academy of Oral Medicine and Radiology (IAOMR) and Indian Dental Association (IDA) She has attended international and national conferences and workshops organized by the same. She has boxed several international and national publications and presentations related to the subject. As an academician and researcher, her key areas of interest includes TMD, Oro-facial pain, Oral pre-cancerous lesions, Salivary gland disorders, CBCT, MRI & USG.
